KЄ R,Θ, / ΠAVΛⲰ / A’CΠAΘ, ЄΠ, / T૪ XP [S] TAΓ/M[A]TOΦ[V]/ΛAK in six lines, decorations flanking the last line. Unpublished in the standard references. Minor breakage and surface cracks along the channel and some striking weakness in the fields, otherwise, very fine.



The office of tagmatophylax is unknown from written sources. It must refer to an officer in a tagma, a military unit, which was under the command of a domestikos.
